Electric flange immersion heaters are designed to heat fluids (liquids or gases) statically in a tank or circulating in a flow heater. They are made up of sheathed heating elements welded to a round flange complying with EN 1092-1 or ASME B16.5 standards. The resistors are in direct contact with the fluid to be heated, which promotes heat exchange. There are several types of heating element and flange, depending on the product to be heated. Immersion heaters can be fitted with a control or safety device (Pt100 sensor, thermocouple or thermostat) as well as a connector protection box.
