Insulated mineral heating cables are intended for tracing long and/or large diameter pipes for all applications requiring operating temperatures between 130°C and 650°C or absolute tightness. They consist of an outer sheath in 321 stainless steel or inconel 600 and a resistive core in cupronickel or nickel-chrome. With a small diameter (3 to 6 mm), they can be deformed to be placed on pipes or tanks. The mineral insulated cables are equipped with 2 non-heating length for the insulation crossing and 2 threaded fixing fittings M11 (with gaskets and nuts) to allow electrical connection in a terminal box.
