Pt100 sensors with head

Pt100 probes are intended for temperature measurement, from -80°C to +600°C, of a gas, a liquid or a solid. In a gas or a liquid, the probe is immersed directly in the fluid or inserted in a pocket. In a solid, the temperature can be taken inside the piece or on its surface. A Pt100 probe is a resistor whose ohmic value increases almost proportionally with temperature (100 Ohm at 0°C and 138,5 Ohm at 100°C). This resistance measurement is carried out by the current circulation generated by a measuring device or a regulator, through copper interconnecting wires. The probe consists of a sensitive element generally protected by a rigid or flexible stainless steel sheath. The connection is made via a protection box equipped with a cable gland. For fixing the probe to the process, some models can be equipped with a threaded fitting. Several measurement accuracies are possible depending on the class of the Pt100 probe.
