Pt100 probes and thermocouples
Pt100 probes and thermocouples are intended for measuring the temperature of a fluid (gas or liquid) or a solid. They generally consist of a cylinder of small diameter (from 0.5 to 8 mm) and of variable length. They can be rigid or flexible and can be inserted or immersed in the media to be measured. The Pt100 probe technology is suitable to industrial applications between -80°C and 600°C, in the absence of excessive vibrations with a measurement accuracy that can range from +/-0.3°C to +/-0.03°C. Thermocouple technology supports higher temperatures (up to 1200°C depending on the model) with lower precision (+/-2°C on average), but with better response time. Electrical connections can be made via cables, connectors or terminal blocks placed in a protection box.
