Thermocouples with cable

Thermocouples are intended for temperature measurement, from -40°C to +1000°C, of a gas, a liquid or a solid. In a gas or a liquid, the thermocouple is immersed directly in the fluid or inserted in a pocket. In a solid, the temperature can be taken inside the piece or on its surface. A thermocouple is a soldered joint between 2 wires of different metals (know as ''hot soldering'') across the terminals of wich an electrical voltage is generated proportional to the measured temperature. The analysis of the signal is carried out by appropriate instrumentation and connecting wires. The thermocouple is generally insulated under a rigid or flexible stainless steel or Inconel 600 sheath and an output cable. Several materials available for the cable sheath (PVC or fiberglass with metallic overbraid) depending on the conditions of use.
